EA's brass should allow for a *Prestige Project* every now and then, and give such things more time and money than their shareholder's short term interests allow for. Bioware bit off too much to chew, at least with the economic constraints they've been working with. And I'm sure they've known, and that they've failed to realize those same commander moments in the context of a 'Galaxy at War', as they've so obviously intended. *Commander Moments* is what Mass Effect 3 didn't have, and that's why it fell well short short of expectations. Those *commander moments*, when I as Shepard command my crew, knowing their strengths and weaknesses, assigning the right job to the right guy, seeing it all come together - the elation of successful command has not been captured better yet, at least not in such a personal and emotional manner. The Suicide Mission still stands as the best ever singleplayer experience in gaming to date - at least in my book.

Which PC RPG is the best just depends on what MMO holds the dearest place in your heart and memory really. Hell - MMO players usually go by their character's name when socializing over VoIP, unless they're playing with IRL friends. Every dedicated MMO player was at times more his character than himself. I loved that Baldur's Gate didn't do very much to guide its players in the direction that advances the story, but even by simply exploring, you'd always discover something intriguing and unexpected. That left a lot of room for you to continue to become much stronger in the sequel, which was really smart. Basically, you go from being an inexperienced rookie adventurer to a competent hero, rather than taking you all the way to being the demigod that you are by the end of most RPGs. In Baldur's Gate you start off fighting against weak monsters and, by the end, you're fighting some mid-range difficulty monsters like slimes and doppelgangers. Most RPGs would have started your character off fighting kobolds and ended with having you fighting beholders and mindflayers. The character progression is the same way. The areas feel different enough, but in a way that seems natural. The developers didn't give in to the temptation to make the areas artificially diverse by having the snowy area, the jungle area, the desert, and so on. First random co-op yinyang I played, got them to 105 pips. Gloomhaven: Level up, unlock and retire multiple unique fantasy heroes in an epic legacy campaign with over 90 tactical scenarios. I also enjoy the fact that there's very little geographical diversity in the game. Yep, Ascension is one of the best card games out there, and one of the few deck-builders available on PC.

It makes exploring feel like you're taking everything in, even the wilderness between towns and other locations important to the plot, rather than getting the "greatest hits" vibe as you zip from one event location to another. Unlike a lot of RPGs, it all takes place in a relatively small region, but that region is rendered in a great deal of detail. But I love how grounded the first game is in its setting. They are electroacoustic transducers, which convert an electrical signal to a corresponding sound.Headphones let a single user listen to an audio source privately, in contrast to a loudspeaker, which emits sound into the open air for anyone nearby to hear.
